Take a few moments of peace and relaxation in your hotel room. In the evening, after everyone has arrived, our guide will present a short introductory program about our captivating Kathmandu Pokhara Tour.

Today is all about exploring the wonders of Kathmandu, with visits to its remarkable UNESCO Heritage Sites. We will drive and walk through the chaotically stunning streets of the city and come across many temples and stupas signifying the co-existence of the two of the most followed religions in the world.
After breakfast, our guide will take you to the oldest Hindu temple of Nepal- the renowned golden-roofed Pashupatinath Temple lying beside the sacred Bagmati River.
Since entry to the temple is restricted for foreigners and non-Hindus, we will watch the enormous golden Nandi Bull statue and glimpse the impressive Shiva Lingam from outside the entrance. After this, we will head to Aryaghat, a sacred site where Hindu cremation ceremonies take place on the Bagmati River.
After this unique temple visit, we will then proceed to the second more important Buddhist Temple of Nepal- the Boudhanath Stupa. We can see numerous pilgrims walking around this stupa clockwise, the air here reverberates with their religious chanting of mantras.
We will now make our way to explore the most significant Buddhist site of Kathmandu- the Swayambhunath Stupa or also the Monkey Temple. Climbing the long stone steps, we will be constantly gazed upon by the many monkeys that live here.
Once at the top, we can gaze upon the dazzling view of the entire Kathmandu city. There is the large stupa with the famous Nepalese symbol of the Buddha’s gaze and numerous other small monuments scattered around the complex.
After having had a good feast of temples it is now time to make a stop at Kathmandu Durbar (Palace) Square. In this square, you will see Hindu celebrations and rituals at any time of day.
There are also numerous temples and various statues especially of Kal Bhairav which can be a bit disturbing and mesmerizing at the same time. There is also the palace of Kumari (the divine living goddess), the Gaddi Baithak, Hanuman Dhoka, museum, and Makhan Mahadev Temple as well.
After feasting our senses with all these exploration, we will now return to our hotel getting ready for the next day adventure that will see us in the heavenly town of Pokhara.

We have two options to reach Pokhara today: either by short half hour flight or via the long winding Highway roads of the Nepali mountainous route.
If you choose to fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, an additional USD 120 per person will have to be paid when our guide will make arrangements for your flight.
When choosing this option, you will get to soar above the massive snowy pyramids of Machhapucchhre, Ganesh, Manaslu, and Annapurna. After landing at the Pokhara Airport, you will be taken to your place of stay with the leisure of an entire day to explore this enchanting city.
On the other hand, the road trip to Pokhara has its unique adventure and excitement. We will be travelling in a comfortable tourist bus for about 7 to 8 hours driving along the scenic Prithvi Highway beside the roaring Trishuli River.
Here, we can see daring rafters battling the river’s wild currents. If you are also interested in joining the rafting fun, we can definitely set that up for you.
Next, the Mugling-Narayanghat Highway will take us through the ancient looking Newar town of Bandipur and the Manakamana Temple (the wish granting Temple) of Durga. We will rise up early and set out to witness a sunrise that will be one of the most beautiful sights we have ever seen. Our journey begins with a half-hour walk from our hotel, ascending a small hill to reach the Sarangkot View Point.
As the sun rises, its magnificent golden rays will start to brush the magnificent Himalayas of Lamjung, Annapurna, Himchuli, Machhapuchhre, and Manaslu.
Here, we can find several cozy tea houses where we can sip a warm cup of tea while gazing at this incredible sight. It’s now time that we go down to our hotel for the Pokhara exploration.
The city has numerous natural wonders among which are the incredible Davis Waterfall and the mystical Gupteswor Mahadev Cave, both nestled within a captivating stalactite cave. The unusually beautiful images of deities carved on the cave walls and the cascading currents of the waterfall are truly very impressive.
Next on our travel program of our Kathmandu Pokhara tour is the unique Chamero/ Bat Cave 10 km to the northwest of Lakeside Pokhara. Stretching 225 m, the cave is the habitat of thousands of diverse species of bats.
Reaching Pokhara and not taking a boat ride across Lake Phewa would be a crime. So, let’s take to its waters and visit the small island temple of Baraha.
Then, we can either hike up or drive to the spectacular World Peace Pagoda, a magnificent white structure that speaks of nature and spirituality.
Now, we will head back to the lakeside, walk by its shore, enjoy the sweet tunes coming from the various restaurants and hotels, before finishing our day with a taste of the region’s fabulous cuisine.

To cut down on your waiting time at TIA, you can browse the English official website of the Nepal Immigration Office and complete the online application form, then upload scanned copies of your passport and photo, and print the Visa Application confirmation sheet before you.
Remember, your passport needs to be valid for at least six months from your arrival date in Nepal. When you arrive at the airport, show your printed confirmation sheet and passport to the immigration department. After paying the correct Visa fee, you will be issued your Tourist Visa.
The price of a tourist visa for Nepal varies based on the duration of your stay. Since for our Kathmandu Pokhara tour, you will need only 15 days Visa, you have to pay only USD 30 per individual.
There is also a month-long Visa that costs USD 50 per individual and a 90-day Visa that costs USD 125 per person. In case of a Visa extension, you can reach out to the Office of Immigration in either Kathmandu or Pokhara.
The Visa extension for 15 days can cost you USD 45 with USD 3 for each extra day. Please remember that children under ten years old will have a Gratis Visa issued at no cost (not for the US).

Accommodation, Meals, Drinks
On every journey we organize, we make every effort to simplify the logistics for each of our guests. We therefore provide a comprehensive logistics package designed to their needs and our Kathmandu Pokhara tour is no different.
In both Kathmandu and Pokhara, we have arranged cozy double occupancy rooms in a charming three-star hotel, complete with your own bathroom and hot shower.
If you wish, we can also upgrade your stay to a single room or a luxurious 4 or 5-star hotel for an extra fee. Please let us know when you book, and we will make sure everything is set up to your liking.
Each morning, a delicious breakfast will be served at your hotel. We like to give you the freedom to choose your own lunch and dinner options, so these meals, along with beverage costs, are not included in our service.
There are wide dining choices in Kathmandu and Pokhara ranging from traditional Nepali dishes like Dal Bhat and momos to a variety of international cuisines that will tantalize your taste buds.
Transportation, Communication, Gadget Charging, and Internet/WiFi
As part of our Kathmandu Pokhara tour service, private transfers will be arranged for all your hotels and airport transportation (both domestic and international).
Options of cars, vans, jeeps, or buses are available depending on the number of our guests in a group. Additionally, we will provide tourist bus transportation for your journey between Kathmandu and Pokhara. If you choose to fly instead, please keep in mind that there will be an extra charge.
As for communication, we suggest you use the local Nepali SIM card from NTC or Ncell providers. While you can activate the roaming service on your home network, the service can come at a very steep price. Purchasing the local sim is, therefore, the cheaper and more reliable option for which our guide can help you.
However, the procedure is so simple that you on your own can easily buy and activate these networks on your mobile. Additionally, there is the option of using the virtual SIMs of Ncell or NTC known as eSIMs, which you can purchase and activate online before you even set foot in Nepal.
In terms of WiFi, in both Kathmandu and Pokhara, you will find free WiFi available in nearly all restaurants, hotels, cafes, bars, shopping centers, and heritage sites. If you encounter any issues with WiFi, you can simply switch on your mobile data for a reliable 4G connection.
For charging your devices such as mobiles, laptops, tablets, cameras, and batteries, sockets are conveniently located in every hotel room.
Insurance for the Kathmandu Pokhara Tour
Kathmandu and Pokhara are Nepal’s two larger, well-established cities, equipped with all the necessary infrastructure to prioritize your health and safety. Therefore, travel insurance isn’t compulsory for our brief Kathmandu Pokhara Tour.
However, we strongly advise you to obtain a policy that provides adequate coverage for health emergencies, repatriation, accidents, injuries, and any medical issues that may arise.
Traveling abroad, particularly with family and children, can be full of surprises. You may encounter challenges such as lost luggage at the airport or theft, and your trip could be unexpectedly canceled.
Or, you may suddenly fall ill and require hospitalization. These unforeseen events can not only ruin your travel experience but also disturb your budget.
Thus, to protect your finances and ensure a worry-free journey, we recommend you take such a policy that will cover all your medical expenses, emergency rescues, repatriation, theft, lost luggage, and third-party liabilities during the trip.
Currency and funds exchange
The official currency of Nepal is called the Nepalese Rupee (NPR) which you can find both in coin and paper notes.
Please note that you don’t have to rush to change your money to Nepali at TIA as we will be there to pick you up. We also advise you not to convert your money at the hotel but go to the nearest bank of Nabil, SBI, Everest Bank, Himalayan Bank, Nepal Rastra Bank, or Standard Chartered as they charge just a small government fee for currency exchange.
You can also access cash through ATMs in Kathmandu and Pokhara, however, keep in mind that making international withdrawals from ATMs can cost you a few extra charges between USD 5 to USD 7 per transaction.
Therefore, to minimize these extra expenses, you can withdraw NPR 20,000 to NPR 35000 which will comfortably cover all your extra personal expenses for lunches, dinners, drinks, tips, and personal shopping. Please note that the daily cost for meals and drinks can incur USD 30 per day.
Card payments are also acceptable in Kathmandu and Pokhara but we recommend avoiding them, as each transaction may attract a fee of 3.5% to 4% based on your bank, which can quickly add up.
